Øystein Rushfeldt and Jeanette Moland work together for Nussir to create major local ripple effects.
– It is a basic value for us to always think locally. Nussir’s business will create activity and jobs that benefit local communities. Therefore, we greatly appreciate that Pro Barents will support us in this work, says CEO Øystein Rushfeldt in Nussir.
All industrial history shows that local ripple effects do not come by themselves. It requires a willingness to think locally and arenas for meetings between the industrial player and the surrounding business community.
Therefore, the agreement «Supplier development to the Nussir project – A new industrial adventure in Finnmark», is very important for the northern Norwegian mineral company.
The agreement secures the suppliers in Finnmark a three-year program with goals to secure local ripple effects, positive societal effects and local deliveries to the Nussir project. The program is supported by Innovation Norway with financial support.
– One of the advantages of this program is that Nussir and its main suppliers will get closer to local suppliers. The program highlights opportunities for contracts, specific needs and innovation opportunities in the Nussir project, says Jeanette Moland in Pro Barents.
The project is already underway and we now have more than 40 companies that have said they would like to join.
