Karin S. Thorburn

Karin S. Thorburn is Research Chair Professor of Finance at NHH Norwegian School of Economics and Adjunct Full Professor of Finance at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining NHH in 2009, she was a full-time faculty member at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Thorburn has extensive board experience and is currently a director of Maritime & Merchant Bank, Argentum Asset Management, Preferred Global Health, Green LNG Services, Falck Advisory, and the Financial Management Association International.

Having trained in corporate finance and M&A at Citibank he has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry, both as an executive of listed companies which have successfully developed mines and as a non-executive director of both listed and unlisted mining companies.
